4 Day Tour of Berber Villages from Marrakech
Embark on a 4-day journey through the Azzaden Valley, also known as the ‘Red Valley’, with its red mountains on either side. This tour offers an immersive experience into Berber culture and a chance to discover how indigenous people live in the mountains.
Itinerary
Day 1:
Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tahliouin Village
– Pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Marrakech.
– Drive through Tahnaout and Moulay Brahim Gorges, a popular film location for Mission Impossible.
– Upon reaching Imlil, begin the trek through Ait Lachien Village and ascend to Tizi N’tacht for lunch.
– After lunch, proceed to Tizian Village via Thliouin Red Village, crossing the Azzaden River, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 2:
Tahliouin – Tizi Ntkhrkhort – Tizgui N’tkent
– After breakfast, set out for Tizi Ntkhrkhort, passing by a small goat shelter called L’azib.
– Reach the top, take a break with nuts and photos, and continue through a peaceful forest to Amlan for lunch.
– Proceed to Tizgui N’tkent Village for an overnight stay.
Day 3:
Tizgui N’tkent – Tizzi Ntagdalt – Tizzi Oussem
– Trek up to Tizi Ntagdalt via Azib Angs Nousoul, a summer village for the locals.
– Stop for pictures and nuts, then descend to Arro for lunch.
– Continue to Tizzi Oussem for the night.
